November News

November has arrived and we have lots to be excited about! This month we will spend time learning all about Jesuits, practicing using analog clocks, becoming experts at place value and measurements, reading and diving deep into two special books, Amazing Grace and Maddi’s Fridge, enjoying a feast to celebrate Thanksgiving, and much more! We will take time this month to give thanks for all the ways that God blesses us each day.

Using one of our 3 R’s I have reflected on our October and I am amazed at what we accomplished. We had a fabulous time becoming entomologists during our GLAD unit on bees! Second Grade had the privilege of going on a field trip to the West Valley Outdoor Learning Center to learn all about habitats. On Halloween we got to meet Bee Keepers at Gonzaga University and perform Halloween songs and dances in Hemmingson Center. There was candy, family, and lots of smiles! We got off to a flying start on our UFLI science of reading curriculum and got very familiar with number racks and number strings! To keep this post from being as long as the numerous books 2nd grade reads I will let your student tell you about the other highlights from last month!
